Donna Drake

My name is Donna Drake and I am so excited to be teaching second grade at Capitol Hill.  After twenty plus years in St. Paul Public Schools I can say I have experience teaching every grade kindergarten through sixth!

I have my Master’s degree in Education and continue to seek out experiences to achieve my goal of being a lifelong learner. I am looking forward to my next class to learn about Twice Exceptional Learners.. Of course, I will share my learning with my students.

 While I am not at school you will find me taking photos, reading books, taking walks in nature, watching soccer games, and any creative outlet I happen to be interested in at the moment. I love dogs (cats too, but they make me sneeze) and have 2 at home to greet me every afternoon.

I love the energy and enthusiasm that young children bring to their learning, so I know this is going to be another amazing year!
