Staff Profile

Hey there! I'm Ms. Schup! 

This is my 14th year teaching, 7th at Capitol Hill, and my 4th year as the AVID Elective teacher and AVID Site Coordinator. I love teaching AVID because it connects to many different facets of school and life! The more we question, seek to understand others and collaborate, the better off we all will be! I am looking forward to growing the AVID program at Capitol Hill for years to come. 

Before AVID, I taught...

•  5 years of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA/ELL in St. Louis, MO
• 1 year at KIPP in Minneapolis
• 1 year subbing all over the Twin Cities metro!
• 3 years of 6th grade Reading and Writing and 7th grade ELA at Capitol Hill

Additionally, I teach two sections of On Track Literacy (OT) to help students accelerate growth in reading comprehension! 

I also co-faciliate our schools GSA (Gender-Sexuality Alliance) which is called GLOW!
