Staff Profile

Jennifer Letellier

My name is Jennifer Letellier, and I am one of the social studies teachers here at Capitol Hill.  I teach 8th Grade Global Studies and Social Justice.

Global Studies is the exploration of our world today, shaped by the events and beliefs that brought us here. History must be confronted with honesty, even when it is uncomfortable. By listening to voices different from our own, sharing perspectives, and choosing to grow, we can take actions that create meaningful change in our world.

I earned my doctorate in the summer of 2025, and my passion for learning continues. My work focuses on gifted and talented education, where I have observed that classrooms often prioritize meeting standards over fostering growth. In contrast, my classroom goal is to spark curiosity and nurture independent thinkers. Above all, I strive for every student to grow.

"A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good, just because it's accepted by a majority." - Booker T. Washington
