Susan Providence

Teacher

My name is Susan Providence, and I am a Special Education Teacher. I have had the opportunity to work as a General Education teacher, where I taught students from 1st grade through 6th grade. With over twenty years of experience in education and a Master’s degree in teaching, I am passionate about fostering a love of learning in every student. My teaching philosophy is grounded in meeting students where they are and guiding them forward with engaging, hands-on lessons that are tailored to their individual strengths and needs.

This year, one of my primary goals is to support our students in making steady progress toward their IEP goals, particularly through interactive learning approaches—especially in areas such as mathematics, where concrete, hands-on strategies can help make abstract concepts more accessible.

I believe that special education is a true partnership between school and home. Open communication, collaboration, and consistency are essential in helping students build confidence, independence, and academic success. Please don't hesitate to reach out at any time with questions, concerns, or insights about your child. Together, we can ensure that each student not only achieves their goals but also feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

I look forward to partnering with you!

Sincerely,

Susan Providence
