Education Commissioner Delivers Thank You Notes to Capitol Hill Staff

The image shows three people, two men and one woman, standing together in what appears to be a school or educational setting, with posters and artwork on the walls behind them.

Minnesota Department of Education Commissioner and former SPPS administrator Willie Jett had a special delivery for some special staff members at Capitol Hill Gifted and Talented Magnet School. During this summer's Minnesota State Fair, visitors to the Education building could write a thank you note to an educator who had an impact on their lives. Commissioner Jett hand delivered the notes to the teachers, school psychologist and social worker at Capitol Hill to thank them for their service, as well as a card for the whole staff.

The recipients were: Michael VandenHeuvel, Samantha Schwab, JoElla Klubberud, Julie Baum, Matt Liston and John Mayock (now at Saint Paul Music Academy)
