Capitol Hill Magnet School is a full-time academically gifted and talented program for students in grades 1-8. Learners experience a challenging academic program designed to develop skills in critical and creative thinking. Our community nurtures a school climate of respect, high expectations, civic responsibility and cultural understanding.
School calendar updates for March and April 3/17/2008 10:45 AM There is no school on Thursday, March 20th or Friday, March 21st.
Conferences are March 20th and March 21st is a teacher prep day. CONFERENCES ARE FROM 5-8 ON TUESDAY MARCH 18TH AND TUESDAY MARCH 25TH AND ON THURSDAY MARCH 2OTH FROM 8-11 AND 12-2.
School will resume on Monday, March 24th. Spring break begins on March
29th and the students return from spring break on April 7th.
A honor roll luncheon 2/28/2008 9:11 AM The A honor roll students and their families joined the staff at
Capitol Hill for a luncheon on Friday, Feb. 22nd. The event was held
in the gym and pizza, salads, fruit and dessert were served. Former
student Chris Geno, who is a senior at Central, spoke. The honor roll
students names were read and certificates were handed out. Music was
played by Capitol Hill students. Thanks to everyone who helped make
this event possible. Honor roll lists will be posted on the office
window and on the website.
Saakumu dance troupe visits Rondo 2/24/2008 3:31 PM On Friday, Feb. 15th the 1st-6th grade students were treated to a
performance by the Saakumu dance troupe from Ghana, West Africa. They
were amazing! Thanks to Diane Solenberger for arranging their visit.

Site Council The next meeting is the SCIP Presentation, April 28, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Rondo Library Conference Room. April unofficial minutes are available.
