Capitol Hill Site Council

 

In February 2000, the first Capitol Hill Site Council was elected. Membership consists of 7 staff members, 7 Capitol Hill parents and 1 Community member. New members will be elected yearly on a rotating basis.

 

The Site Council is responsible for working with administration, staff, parents, students, and the community to make decisions and recommendations regarding school policies, operations, and management. The goal of the Site Council is to increase student achievement through its efforts in developing and implementing Capitol Hill’s School Continuous Improvement Plan.  This plan includes budgeting concerns and program development.  It is the responsibility of the Site Council to provide a unified voice in addressing District initiatives as they affect the Capitol Hill Community.

 

Officers, Committees and members will be listed in the new Capitol Hill Directory.  Site Council meetings will be held the 2nd Monday of the month, unless announced otherwise.  Committee meetings will be posted.  See the school calendar for exact dates.  All meetings are open to the Capitol Hill Community.

Parent Teacher Organization (P.T.O.)

 

All parents / guardians, teachers and staff are members of this organization.  The purpose of the Association is to support the members of the Capitol Hill community through organization, volunteer work and fund-raising.   Scheduled meetings are held the 1st Monday of the month, unless otherwise notified.  Committee meetings will be posted on the Web Site.  Officers and Committees will be listed in the Capitol Hill Directory.
