Sixth grade is a time of transition. In grades one through five, students have spent a majority of their time with one teacher; in 7th and 8th grade they will be juggling the challenge of many teachers with a variety of expectations. In sixth grade at Capitol Hill, students have the opportunity to move among the four classroom teachers for reading, writing, science, global studies, and math while they still enjoy the stability of a homebase teacher to help them learn to keep track of assignments and other skills they'll need in junior high.

Event and Field Trip Schedule This is a tentative schedule of events and field trips for the 6th grade in 2006-07. Remember that the number of field trips we can do is dependent on the amount of money raised during the fundraiser!
