Parent Information Nights and Conferences

Student success comes from parents / guardians and teachers working together.  Student conferences are scheduled twice a year, November and March, and include 2 evenings and 1 day of conference times.  These are merely the District scheduled conference times; if you feel you need additional conferences, please call your child’s teacher to arrange it.

Parent Information Nights

Parent Information Night will be held in September. The evening will provide an opportunity for staff and parents to discuss curriculum, projects, events and homework. Parent Information Night is for parent/guardians only.

Parent Information Night will last approximately 1 hour.

            Grades 1-3    September 21st      5:30 p.m.

            Grades 4-6    September 21st      6:00 p.m.

            Grades 7-8    September 21st      6:30 p.m.

Conferences

Parents / guardians of children in grades 1-6 will have an arranged conference time with the classroom teacher.  Conferences for students in grades 7 – 8 will be held in the blue atrium so parents / guardians have an opportunity to visit with all of their child’s teachers.

Fall Student Conference Dates

            November 20      5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  

November 22      All day, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

November 21      5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  

Spring Conference Dates

          March 23     All day, 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m

          March 26      5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

          March 27      5:00p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Parent Portals

Parent portal is a website allowing parents to accesstheir student's records.  In grades7-8 parents may access attendance, schedules, grades, progress reports and additional information about their child as it becomes available on the web site.  Parents of students in grades 1-6 may access students attendance and other information.  You may enter and/or sign up for Parent Portal through www.splearns.org or www.spps.org.
