SINGING IS SENSATIONAL!
MISSION
To provide each student with a quality choral music experience at a level appropriate for each students’ ability, and explore the use of voice as a means of self-expression and lifelong enjoyment.

COURSE OFFERINGS
Treble Choir - A girls choir of 7/8 grade Capitol Hill students emphasizing female vocal development and fundamentals of choral singing. This is a full year course which meets every other day. Students will sing music in 2-3 parts and of a diverse nature. Minimally, attendance at one evening performance per semester and one after school rehearsal for each concert is required. Students will fulfill the music component of the Arts Graduation Standards by the end of their 8th grade year.

Ragazzi Choir - A boys choir of 7/8 grade Capitol Hill students emphasizing male vocal development and fundamentals of choral singing. This is a full year course which meets every other day. Students will sing music in 2-3 parts and of a diverse nature. Minimally, attendance at one evening performance per semester and one after school rehearsal for each concert is required. Students will fulfill the music component of the Arts Graduation Standards by the end of their 8th grade year.

Concert Choir - A mixed auditioned choir of Capitol Hill students seeking to build on previous choral experience. This is a year long course which meets every other day for students continuing to develop their vocal/choral skills. Students will sing music in 3-4+ parts and of a diverse nature, with solo opportunities. Minimally, attendance at one evening performance per semester and one after school rehearsal for each concert is required. Other community and in-school performances will be required as opportunities arise. Students will fulfill the music component of the Arts Graduation Standards by the end of their 8th grade year.
