What is the Capitol Hill Ski and Snowboard Club at Afton Alps?
Open to all students, staff, and families of Capitol Hill, the ski/snowboard club is a chaperoned group that takes a bus to Afton Alps on Fridays after school and select no-school days.
6th-8th graders can ride the bus to Afton Alps after school. 1st-5th graders can come on the bus with an adult and need to be accompanied by an adult at all times (one parent can take a group of younger kids, too). Younger kids may also come with an adult in their own vehicle, meet the group at Afton and still participate in the discounted rates. Participants can bring food or purchase dinner at the chalet. (See this Welcome Letter for a nice printable document with all the information you need.)
Sign-up is completed via our website. For your convenience, you can pay with credit card. Sign up for Friday trips is due by Wed afternoon; sign up for Monday trips is due by Friday afternoon.
This year we have two special locations:
Welch Village on Martin Luther King Day (1/16/2017)
Spirit Mountain on President’s Day (2/20/2017)
The rest of the trips will be to Afton Alps.
