I hope you are having a wonderful summer. Our staff is busy preparing for the start of school on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. This year should prove to be very exciting, rewarding, and successful. All parents and students are invited and encouraged to attend our Welcome Back to School event on Thursday, August 28, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM for grades 1 – 6, and 6:30 to 8:00 PM for grades 7 and 8. This is an opportunity for you and your child(ren) to meet the teachers, check out the classroom, and get a head start on the paper work. The Jr. High students will get their schedule to walk through so they will know where their classes are before the first day of school. By August 20 or 21, you should have received a postcard from the school inviting you to our Welcome Back to School event. This will be followed by a letter from me, Louis Mariucci, along with the bus schedule. Students in grades one through six will have a letter from their classroom teacher included. We will mail the opening letters out as soon as we get the bus schedule. If you do not get a letter by Tuesday, August 26th, please contact the school at 325-2500. We are expecting a great start for this school year and are making preparations for handling any issue that may arise due to the increased traffic and diverted traffic as a result of the Convention at the Excel Center. More information will be included in the opening letter you will receive prior to Open House. We look forward to seeing you on August 28.
