 | | Beginning Band 4 | | Beginning 4th grade band is for any student from Capitol Hill or Museum
Magnet who wish to begin a band instrument. They will learn the
fundamentals of their instrument, including note reading and
recognition, rhythms, proper posture and playing positions and correct
tone production. They will use Accent on Achievement Book 1. Students
will be divided into like instruments (flutes, clarinets,
trumpet/trombones, saxophones and percussion). They will meet two times
a week in these small groups through February. Beginning in March, the
students will be combined into one large band and the band experience
begins! Students will give a few performances throughout the year
