•Attendance to band class is imperative for success. Classroom
teachers are not responsible for getting students to band class. I
always tell students that if they’re old enough to play in band,
they’re old enough to remember band times.
•Each class meets
two times a week. All band classes are pullouts from regular
classrooms. The pullouts are never during the same time. For example,
a class might meet one day and one time and another day at a different
time. See Band Schedules for specific information
•Parents will be
contacted if attendance to band is a problem. I know that parents will want to
know about this, so you can count on being kept in the loop.
