Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

By J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling is full of excitement and action.  I recommend this book to developed readers.

In this book Harry Potter must go through a set of three challenges.  You will find out what they are if you read this book, but little does Harry know that the greatest challenge comes when he touches the cup!

I like the part in the book when Harry touches the cup which means he got through the challenge, or does it?  I also like this book because it has magic in it for example, when they play Quidich, a game played on broomsticks.  I also love the words that paint a picture in my mind; that always makes a book good.

If you like fantasy, this is the book for you.  This novel by J. K. Rowling is a great adventure of mystery.  If you like this book, try the others in the series.

Bad Kitty vs Uncle Murray

By Nick Bruel

Watch out, Bad Kitty is here! I recommend this book: Bad Kitty vs Uncle Murray written by Nick Bruel.

This book is about a crazy cat that is being babysat by Uncle Murray.  Uncle Murray is having a hard time taking care of a dog and a cat.

One reason I really liked this book is because the characters act really crazy!  Bad Kitty doesn’t like visitors so sometimes Bad Kitty gets really mad and causes trouble.  I also like the funny things in the book like the chases, parties and hissing.  One of my favorite parts is in chapter five when Uncle Murray gets chased down the street when he is trying to catch Bad Kitty.  Another reason I like this book is because it has lots of onomatopoeia.  This book is hysterical, especially when Uncle Murray finds Bad Kitty in the weirdest ways.  The author used a lot of writer’s tools like similes, ellipse and repetition.

There are more Bad Kitty books if you liked this one like, Bad Kitty for President and Happy Birthday Bad Kitty.  Remember, if you like funny books, every Bad Kitty book is fantastically funny.

The Battle of the Labyrinth

By Rick Riordan

Are you interested in adventure?  Mythology?  If you are, The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan has it all.

In this book a boy has a quest to save his camp.  On his quest he meets many other people like Black Jack, Calypso, Geron, Chiron and many more.

I like the part in the book when he is on a tropical island so he could heal himself because he was weak.  I liked the details in the book; they really painted a picture in my mind.  For example: caramel skin, gold hair like the shining sun.  If you like books about gods, fighting, adventure and more, this book has it all

So, if you want a good book to read, I recommend this one!

Four Mice Deep in the Jungle

By Geronimo Stilton

Do you like silly books?  If you do, this is a great book for you.

This book is about Geronimo Stilton’s siblings. Trap, Thea and his favorite nephew Benjamin make Geronimo go on an airplane even though he is afraid of heights.  They meet a girl named Penelope who is on the same plane.  They go to Ratty Trap Jungle and a camp that his family left him.  Penelope was bossy.  She splashed water on him to wake up.  Will Geronimo lose his fears?

My favorite part in the book is when Geronimo sees Penelope because he is shy.  I also like the part when Penelope splashes water on Geronimo because he’s cold. I also like the part when Geronimo fights a snake because Penelope is jealous.

If you like fantasy books, this is the book for you.  I hope you enjoy finding out the ending to this book.

The Underground Railroad

An Interactive History Adventure

By Allison Lassieur

Have you heard about slavery?  If you have, then I recommend this book about slavery, The Underground Railroad an Interactive History Adventure by Allison Lassieur.

This book is about slaves that run away to get where they are going.

I like this book because you can choose what you do and where you go.  I also like it because it paints pictures in your mind.  Another reason is it has realistic characters.  My favorite part is when father shows the slave catchers the pass.

If you like books about slavery, you’ll love this one.  Find out more about the Underground Railroad.
