2005 Kids Philosophy Slam: Andrew Hanson was named “Most Philosophical Second Grader in America,”Nandan Raghavan tied for the title of “Most Philosophical Fourth Grader in America,” and Audrey Berdahl-Baldwin placed fifth nationally in the fifth-grade category. Minnesota’s MATHCOUNTS Competition: The team included Daniel Kalla, Paul Kravik, Ben Mayhew and Jennifer Wei. Seventh-grader Daniel Kalla won third over-all in individual competition, gaining a spot on Minnesota’s four-person team, which will advance to the national competition. Capitol Hill’s team was among the top three teams in the competition.
Minnesota Spring Grade Level Chess Tournament: The 4th grade team of Praloy Carlson, Otto Marckel, Ben White, Nandan Raghavan won third place in the tournament.
